Paul G — Writer, Storyteller, Reluctant Adult (Mostly by Choice)

I left a life of neat spreadsheets and polite ledgers for one sentence that wouldn’t let me sleep. That sentence turned into a freelance article, the article turned into a habit, the habit turned into a career, and the career turned into several Kindle books and an unhealthy fondness for late-night strong-tea.

I’m Paul — content writer by day, eBook author by night, part-time comedian in the grocery queue, full-time parent to two small tribes who think my laptop is magical and my jokes are only occasionally embarrassing.

My career didn’t start glamorous. It began with a stubborn need to top up the household budget and a notebook full of awkward metaphors. I learned to turn complicated business ideas into plain, human sentences.

Over ten years ago, I traded the security of accounting for the wonderfully unstable life of freelancing. Think missed milestones, tightened budgets, and more pivot dances than I care to admit.

But here’s the thing — I also bought back time. Now I spend slow weekends with my kids, race deadlines with a mug of something warm, and still manage to craft words that move people and numbers. That’s the trade I’d sign again, every time.

I write for humans, not headlines. My work blends SEO muscle with voice-first storytelling — the kind that makes a reader pause, nod, and act. I build full-funnel copy: blog strategies that pull search traffic, email flows that actually get opened, landing pages that convert, and brand voices that don’t sound like robots in suits.

I’ve helped SaaS and e-commerce businesses increase organic traffic, craft email campaigns with standout open rates, and shape tone guides that keep messaging consistent across teams. Behind the scenes I ghostwrite tons of pieces (yes, I disappear like a polite content ninja), and I enjoy that quiet trade-off: you win the spotlight, I keep the receipts. πŸ˜πŸ€‘

Also: I write weird fiction and satire when the serious stuff needs a walk. I have several Kindle books that live on Amazon and occasionally surprise strangers who click “Look inside” at 2 a.m. — give them a peek if you like fiction with a wink and a weird twist:

If you like evidence alongside charm, I publish essays and analysis pieces on Medium and elsewhere — sometimes about AI, sometimes about markets, sometimes about why dancing badly at family weddings is probably the best decision you’ll make all year.

Recent writing includes a deep-dive on the AI gold-rush conversation, where I try to be useful instead of loud.

What I bring to your table (short version)
— SEO-first content that ranks and reads (I use Ahrefs, SEMrush, Surfer).
— Direct-response copy that converts browsers into customers.
— A storyteller’s edge: I make brands sound human.
— Ghostwriting that respects confidentiality and results.
— A weirdly reliable ability to meet deadlines even when my tea goes cold.

A slightly ridiculous truth about me: I’ll obsess over a headline like a detective on a corny TV show. I treat a brand voice like a living thing (feed it, water it, let it nap), and I once tested a long-form article by reading it aloud to my inner-self — I grade it between “actually useful” and “please stop singing, confused Me.” That honest feedback loop shapes some of the clearest, most human lines I’ve ever written.

If you want to judge me by examples (fair): my public pieces, portfolio docs, and sample briefs live online — there’s a mix of ghostwritten work, bylines, essays, and guides. If you prefer to peek under the hood, you’ll find case studies about traffic lifts, conversion wins, and the small experiments that added up to measurable growth for clients.

How I work (so you don’t wonder)
I start with your goal — not a blank document. We map who we’re talking to, why they care, and what a realistic next step looks like. Then I build SEO-aligned outlines, write with intent, and run a quick audit so the content earns both readers and search engines.

Collaboration happens in ClickUp, Slack, or whatever system your team breathes in. I’ll take feedback like it’s gold (because it is), and I’ll deliver revisions with speed and a little caffeine.

If you’re thinking: “Can he do our voice?” — YES. I’ve adapted tone from fintech stern to playful lifestyle, from data-dense whitepapers to conversational social copy. The secret is listening: once I hear the brand’s cadence, I stop writing in my voice and start sounding like the brand — except better.

Notable things (tiny flexes)
— A decade in professional writing and content strategy.
— Ghostwritten for startups, agencies, and established brands across fintech, e-commerce, and tech.
— Published essays on Medium and other outlets. (See links below.)
— Kindle books available on Amazon.

Want to work together?
If your goal is clearer messaging, a content plan that actually moves metrics, or copy that makes customers raise an eyebrow and click, then we should talk. Email me at pggithaiga@gmail.com or check my portfolio and resume for samples and case studies.

If you’d rather send a carrier pigeon, make sure it’s practiced in subject lines. πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‰

Final note: I take the job seriously and myself not too seriously. Content should earn trust, teach something useful, and occasionally make you snort-laugh into your drink. If that sounds like your kind of partnership, say hello.

Welcome to GlobalPennyWise — the tiny-money blog with huge ambitions

(How to trick your future self into being rich — without spreadsheets, sacrifice, or boring finance-speak.) Hey — glad you’re here. I’m Paul (hi πŸ‘‹), and this blog is my slightly nerdy, very human attempt to make money stuff feel useful, friendly, and — dare I say — fun. Not the kind of “finance” that makes you glaze over mid-sentence; the kind that helps you stop leaking cash on autopilot, save more without pain, and maybe even build a little passive income so you can do that thing you actually want to do (travel? start a tiny business? buy a proper mattress?). This post is the opener: the manifesto, the cheat sheet, and the little push you need to try one tiny thing today that could change the next five years. It’s long, but totally worth it: by the end you’ll have a fantastic plan, five ridiculous-but-real money rituals, and at least two jokes you can use at parties. Ready? Let’s make your money boringly reliable. The problem: we’re not bad — money is just sneaky You’re decent...

AI Just Came for Your Desk Job — and It’s Not Even Sorry: Inside the Supersonic Tsunami Elon Musk Warned About

Pull up a chair. Pour your second (or third) coffee. I’m going to tell you, in plain talk and with receipts, what this “AI tsunami” actually looks like — why it’s real, why it’s scary, and why you don’t have to be the person who gets swept away. Here’s the short version before the long, entertaining, fact-backed ride: AI is moving faster than most of us can rewire our rΓ©sumΓ©s. Money is pouring in like it’s the last call at a casino. A huge chunk of office work is already on the chopping block.  But — and this is a big but — there are very practical, actually-doable ways to surf the wave instead of getting dunked. I won’t be melodramatic here. I’ll be blunt. Let’s begin. The Scene: Why everyone’s shouting “tsunami” You remember the last time something that felt huge arrived — like the internet in the 1990s. With AI, the scale is similar, but the speed is wilder. Private investment into generative AI alone hit about $33.9 billion in 2024 , up nearly 19% from 2023. That’s not...
